Farmer slaughtered over $100

Residents of Westphalia, a remote village in east rural St. Andrew, recoiled in horror as news spread that an argument over $100 led to the death of farmer Johnoy Walker, 26.

Reports from the Constant Spring police are that about 9:27 a.m., Walker, otherwise called ‘Teedi’, got into an altercation with another man when a knife was brought into play. Walker was subsequently stabbed.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The other man has since turned himself in to the police.

Grant said she was told that her son and his alleged killer were gambling last Saturday night when a dispute over $100 got physical. But she stated that residents only told her about this after his death.

Horrible.
