Khago disses Anthony Cruz on his TikTok over the aborted release of the ‘2Time’ riddim

KHAGO DISSES ANTHONY CRUZ

Popular TikTokker Khago lambasted fellow singer Anthony Cruz during his TikTok Live this morning, saying a lot of unsavoury things. He dissed Anthony Cruz’s singing abilities.

“Anthony Cruz sound like a girl who ah suck cocky and choke pon it,” Khago raged while on his LIVE.

“Anthony Cruz no waan buss the other artistes and every minute him ah call and say don’t put Uton Green pon him riddim, don’t put Angel pon him riddim and Cruz ah try stop other artistes from get the riddim to go on it,” Khago ranted.

The brouhaha between the two has its roots in the Khago’s Internet song, ‘2 Time’, which was recorded on the Oh Lord riddim owned by Anthony Cruz and Tad’s Records. Khago recorded ‘2 Time’ on a flat two-track version of the Oh Lord riddim but the song has become an Internet sensation, buoyed by his own live broadcast on his popular Tik Tok page.

Khago then proceeded to record a number of artistes on the project without the consent of the original owners of the riddim, reggae star Anthony Cruz and Tad’s Records, calling that project the ‘2 Time’ riddim. But now, with the verbal falling out between Khago and Anthony Cruz, the animosity could further complicate that song’s official release on streaming platforms.

Khago will need the consent of Tad’s Records to officially release his song as well as others on the project because he doesn’t own any rights in the original composition of the song. The Oh Lord riddim was bankrolled by Tads Records and the songs were produced by Anthony Cruz himself. The ‘Oh Lord’ riddim, itself, is also a rendition of Mikey Spice’s cover of Neil Diamond’s ‘I am..I Said’.

Years ago, the riddim was sent to Flourgon by ‘Favourite’, a writer and guitar player in Sanchez’ band. Flourgon then sent the song to Khago, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Word on the streets is that the original producers of the riddim are not pleased with the quality of the project because it was voiced on a two-track riddim and has not been properly mixed. The instruments are all turned down and none of the tracks have harmony singers, thus lowering the production values of the project.
