Dancehall icon Beenie Man is speaking out after allegations surfaced accusing him of assaulting another artist — and the reggae superstar is making it clear he’s not taking the claims lightly.
In a statement released Tuesday, the Grammy-winning entertainer, born Moses Davis, strongly denied the accusations, calling them “false, malicious and defamatory.”
The “Who Am I” hitmaker also revealed that he has already hired legal representation and is preparing to fight back against the allegations with evidence he says will clear his name.
According to Beenie Man, his legal team is currently compiling material to dispute the claims and address what he describes as damaging misinformation.
While details surrounding the allegations remain limited, the veteran dancehall star’s response signals that the matter could escalate into a legal battle.
Beenie Man, widely regarded as one of dancehall’s most influential global figures, has remained active on the music scene for decades, earning acclaim for hits including “King of the Dancehall,” “Girls Dem Sugar” and “Dude.”
