Lady Da Flame drops new Lovers’ Rock EP

LADY DA FLAME

Versatile gospel and reggae singer Lady Da Flame has released a new Lovers Rock EP under her new stage name.

*The central theme of the Lovers Rock EP is bringing back the love. I love all the tracks but some of my favourites are: Forever Yours and You Got Me,” she said.

Lady Da Flame is equally at ease in the worlds of reggae and gospel. In the world of gospel music, she is known for her show-stopping original ‘God Answers Prayers’ which has racked over 3 million views on Youtube.

In reggae music circles, she has wowed audiences with her ‘Tribute Medley’ to reggae great Phyllis Dillon. She has carved out a reputation for her powerhouse vocals, doing songs with Rawborn Productions, Kidmac Productions, Richie Stephens(Pot of Gold), and Basco House.

*My message is not diversified, it’s always the same: seek a relationship with the Most High. My music is diversified, yes I am mixing Gospel and reggae because gospel is the message and reggae is the method,” the singer explained.

“I have always been a musician who thinks and works outside of the box and not limiting my talents to one area in music. I do a wide range of types of music so I have gospel tracks, Reggae tracks and even gospel reggae tracks,” she said.

A versatile singer who released a single called No Obeahman featuring Beenie Man, Lady Da Flame believes her recent name change will solidify the marketing and business aspect of her career.

Originally known as Lady Flame, she changed her moniker as she sought to reinvent herself and upgrade her record keeping as far as analytics and reports go.

“Over the years, I have produced a lot of music that has been released under the names, Lady Flame and Da Flame. Combining the names to come up with ‘Lady Da Flame’ was a fun way to show unity and cohesion as an artiste, and this move will help my supporters to find all of my music in one place,” she said.

Lady Da Flames aspires to be one of those truly special musical acts and artistes who are able to find success spanning various genres of music. She is using her gift of writing, singing, and composing music that specifically moves the hearts of listeners to a deeper relationship with God.

“I grew up in the church and was raised by my grandparents who were the pastor and leaders of our Church. Gospel music is in my blood because of my upbringing. Yes I believe in God and I am a follower of God who has no reservations in spreading messages through reggae and other genres,” she said.

She has performed on many shows alongside artistes in gospel such as Shirley Cesar, Jekalyn Carr, Jonathan Nelson, and Kevin Downswell, while in the world of reggae, she has shared the stage with stellar acts such as Beres Hammond, Capleton, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, Richie Stevens, Buju Banton, Etana, and many more.
