DANCEHALL producer and US radio personality DJ Tygga Ty (pronounced Tiger Tie) has high hopes for his recently released Shining Star which features dancehall heavyweights like Charlie Black, Rytikal and Yaksta.

Charlie Black leads out the project with ‘Mi Love’ with a singalong hook that floats over the instrumental. Yaksta shows up with ‘Whine Baby’ which peaked at number one on reggae iTunes chart after its release.

Rytikal is arguably one of the best rhyme smiths in the business and he demonstrates this skill on ‘Galang Gal’ with witty lines like ‘plant cocky pon yu like me de pon farm work’. You know that you’re at the height of your powers when you have the balls to whip out a rhyme with the word, ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious’.

Rytikal drops clever rhymes on sparkling bars throughout this bonafide club banger. Other standout songs come from Tatik who brings the thunder on the melodic ‘What You Want’ and Flexx delivers flawless bars with the raunchy ‘Bed Side’.
