Popular Florida-based Faithlyn ‘Born Pretty’ Gayle believes that plus-size women just want to have fun too. The popular plus-sized, body positive party promoter is gearing up to host her annual Born Pretty All White birthday bash in Fort Lauderdale in Florida on January 12th.

“Body positivity” has been a buzz word for a while now. But I truly celebrate my body and my flaws because my confidence is off the chain and my joy for life is contagious. That’s why this year I decided to go all out and do a photo shoot on a plane, the full 100 because my party next week is going to be epic,” she said.

A well-known promoter, she is known for promoting and hosting events with a dazzling array of dancehall artistes such as Dexta Daps, Dovey Magnum, Jada Kingdom, Stylysh, Ikaya, Star, World Dog and Pappi V. She has been promoting events for 12 years.

“I also organize popular wild as can be pool parties, most of them are always sold out,” she said.

Gayle, who is also a successful entrepreneur operating the Born Pretty Boutique Plus Size, believes that her championing of body positive females is a necessity in today’s shallow society.

“I want women to love themselves and be all they can be. Why my parties are so popular is that I have created a safe space, especially with my pool parties, for all women to have the confidence and attitude to show up at a pool and have fun without the need to cover-up or make self-deprecating comments about how they looked or felt in a bathing suit. I am a plus-sized diva and full figured ladies need to know they are Born Pretty,” she said.
