Information received is that Constable Evans attended the Mandeville Regional Hospital for treatment during which he received medication and was awaiting g in a section in the accident and emergency section area awaiting further re examination he became dizzy .

During which he was in the process of removing his firearm from his waist , when his finger touched the trigger and the gun was accidentally discharged . AN alarm was raised and it was realized that Constable Evan was suffering from what appeared to be gun shot wounds that grazed the left shaft of his penis , his scrotum medium left thigh and lodged in his big toes causing fracture of his right big toes.

He was subsequently assisted by the doctor and was given immediate treatment .

The police was summoned and upon arrival Constable Evans was seen at the Emergency section with what appeared to be a wound to his foot.
