Support also poured in from his uncle Ziggy Marley, who commented, “yeah skippa ❤️.”
Voting closes February 7 at 12:00 a.m. ET, ahead of the NAACP Image Awards telecast on Saturday, February 28.
His 2025 single, In Our Sight, is a contender for ‘Outstanding International Song,’ alongside Tyla’s Is It, Burna Boy’s Love, Davido’s With You (with Omah Lay), and Tiwa Savage’s You 4 Me.
Produced by the multi-platinum Supa Dups, the track features a familiar guitar intro originally from Al Green’s Love and Happiness (1972). This riff became a staple of Jamaican sound systems via the Westbound Train riddim, a foundation that famously backed several reggae giants, including Dennis Brown on the iconic title track.
