Police believe that the murder of a popular dancer, Brittania ‘DHQ Chicken’ Francis at a bar in the Richmond district in Manchester last week is tied to the previous murder of dancehall artiste EleganceGad.
“We are looking into the theory that Ms. Francis was killed because she was a witness to the murder of a dancehall artiste. She was in the car when that dancehall artiste, Elegance, was killed. She is known to the killer, she had been avoiding the Manchester area for years and had recently moved to the Brinkley district near Junction in St Elizabeth,” a member of the Manchester Criminal Investigations Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, told one876entertainment.com
A police report said about 1:30 am, Francis was at the bar in Richmond, south of Mandeville, along with the establishment’s operators, when they were closing up to leave, and loud explosions were heard.

Francis was found suffering from gunshot wounds, and one of the windows in the door of a Toyota Voxy was also shattered by a bullet. Francis had survived a 2022 shooting where EleganceGad EleganceGad was shot and killed at Russell Place Meadows, Mandeville in Manchester on July 27.
According to police report, about 2:40 am EleganceGad (whose given is Orlando Smith) and the woman were at an establishment when they were pounced upon by two armed men, who opened gunfire at them. Smith, who sustained several gunshots wounds, was pronounced dead at hospital.
At the time, Britannia Francis was also admitted for treatment.
“The killer believed that she was a witness to the murder and could identify them so that it why they were anxious to eliminate her,” the cop explained.
