Super-producer Cleveland Browne will be teaming up with Spice for her upcoming album.

“I am now working on an album with Spice, she is going back to the classic Steelie and Clevie riddims,” Browne said.

Steely & Clevie were active producers in the 80s/90s/00s, with Spice working with rhythms originally produced by them, such as the 1991 “Giggy Riddim”. Steely passed away in 2009, but Clevie continues to be recognized for his impact on the genre.

Two years ago, Spice has released her third studio album, Mirror 25 (2024), celebrating 25 years in the music industry. The 25-track project, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, featured diverse sounds including Afrobeats, Soca, R&B, and country, featuring artists like Sean Paul, Shaggy, and Busta Rhymes.

The album celebrated her 25-year career and reflected on a near-death experience. The album included features from artists such as Ky-Mani Marley, Busta Rhymes, Lola Brooke, Pamputtae, Jada Kingdom, Patoranking, and Chronic Law.

Spice’s previous albums include Emancipated in 2022 and her Grammy-nominated album 10 in 2021,
