A well-placed police source has confirmed that podcaster Jhadee ‘Jaii Frais’ Richards fired five shots during the altercation at the Big Wall Revolution carnival party on Sunday night at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in St Andrew.

A member of entertainer 450’s entourage, Trevor ‘Chum’ Twaite, who is of an upper St. Andrew address, was reportedly shot three times during the fracas that interrupted the festivities at the carnival party. Fresh reports are emerging that Twaite was playing ‘peacemaker’ during the fight between producer Jahvel ‘Jahvy Ambassador’ Morrison.

At least one other person was also shot during the incident. More details have suggested that Jaii Frais may have been reckless in his actions when he discharged the firearm — believed to be an illegal one — at the event.

“After Jahvy box Jaii Frais, Chum did ah try part the fight and him pick up three corn close range, Jahvy had his gun out and him fire shot too,” one source told one876entertainment.

According to the 1967 Firearm Act, it is illegal to discharge any firearm or ammunition on or within 40 yards of a public road or in any public place. Discharging a firearm is only legal in limited circumstances, primarily for the lawful protection of oneself, one’s property, or another person. Further, discharging a firearm in a manner that shows reckless disregard for the safety of others is a serious offence, constituting negligent discharge.

An official police report said that at about 9:30pm Jaii Frais reportedly arrived at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Center where the event was being held.

It’s understood that upon entering the event, he immediately went to use the restroom. Upon leaving the restroom and reaching the door he allegedly saw a well-known music producer who hit him in the face.

The police say Jaii Frais reported that he then saw a group of about 15 men who started attacking him. He says one of the men in the group pulled a firearm and pointed it at him.

Jaii Frais reportedly grabbed on to the firearm and disarmed the man.

It’s further understood that Jaii Frais says the known music producer allegedly pulled a firearm from his waist and pointed it at him whilst he was being attacked by the group of men.

Jaii Frais also reported that the music producer allegedly opened gunfire in his direction. Jaii Frais who had disarmed one of the men from the group and had the firearm, returned gunfire while running away from them.

Sources say that 450’s entourage was only six persons, three of whom were close to the bathroom when the incident occurred, debunking the ’15 man’ claim made by Jaii Frais/

According to the police report, Richards then reportedly ran to the police to seek assistance and handed over the firearm to the lawman. Further reports are that Jaii Frais, after handing over the firearm, felt a burning sensation to his left lower back and realised that he was shot.

No one was killed in the incident and Chum has survived the emergency surgery and will be avaliable to give a statement to the police, so more information is forthcoming.
