JDF CAMP IN MONEAGUE ROBBED BY BURGLARS

No one is safe from brazen acts of burglary, not even the nation’s security forces.

Thieves broke into the Jamaica Defence Force camp in Moneague, St. Ann and stole more than $90,000.

The incident, police told one876news, occurred between 9:30 pm on Friday and 6:45 yesterday morning. No one has been held in connection with the robbery.

It is understood that the culprits entered the compound and forced open the front door to a building. They then entered and stole $93,000, then left via the entry point.

The Moneague camp is home to Jamaica’s Second Battalion. It consists of a training ground and barracks. The camp is said to be on a 24-hour patrol by military police.
