After prosecutors revealed that the case file of entertainer Oneil ‘Elephant Man’ Bryan could not be found, Justice Martin Gayle set the matter aside for papers to be copied and served on the defence.

The new date for the trial is November 29th and Elephant Man’s bail was extended until that time.

It is possible that Vybz Kartel’s murder case could go on for another three years. Just look at Ninja Man’s case as an example. The matter, which has been before the courts since 2009, has now been re-scheduled to April 7 next year. Ninja Man is accused of the March 16, 2009 murder of Richard Johnson. So five years later, he is yet to stand trial for the offence and the case drags on, enriching the pockets of lawyers and frustrating the public.
