ONE LOVE CAFE OPENS ON JULY 11TH AT MARLEY MUSEUM @one876
There will be a launch of the One Love Café conveniently located on the grounds of the Home of Reggae Legend Bob Marley on July 11th next week. The cafe is dubbed as a Roots Café serving up a wide array of sandwiches, wraps, natural juices, smoothies, pastries for both Vegetarians and Non vegetarians.

Word on the street is that reggae singer Mikey Spice is terribly ill and was recently hospitalised. In 2001, Mikey Spice moved to Florida, but returned to Jamaica several years later. He had a very promising career in the 1990s but his incarceration on a gun charge put the brakes on his career for a while, but when you are that talented, you don’t stay down. Outside of his contribution to Grab Yuh Lass, a breakout hit that announced his return to the music scene in the year 2000, he has recorded a cover of Bunny Wailer’s Ballroom Floor and Bob Marley’s Duppy Conqueror. His last studio album was released by VP Records in 2008, but the streets say that his health has rapidly declined over the past year. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Mi a read the Jamaica Observer online and see that dem say “a review of the content of the material found that parts of the training material were inappropriate for the age cohort, and a departure from that approved by the Ministry of Education for use in public schools”. So who a go resign over this? Legal advice will have to be sought to determine if its presentation contravened any existing laws but wah the Minister fi do is fire some bloodclaat people. Information gleaned from the focus groups sessions in the homes confirmed that the training material was delivered, and that “children received training in the areas relating to homosexuality and anal sex”.
