International reggae superstar Jah Cure will thrill fans tonight at the Catherine Hall venue for Reggae Sumfest.

Etana and Chronixx are the Jamaican acts confirmed for the eighth staging of the Raggamuffin Festival, to be held December 13 in Auckland, New Zealand. British supergroup UB40, which has endured internal and legal conflict in the past decade, will headline the event along with gangsta rap pioneer Ice Cube.

Veteran deejay Ninja Man set a blistering pace at Sumfest Dancehall Night with a brilliant performance at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre in Montego Bay. The Don Gorgon took the massive crowd way back when he was joined onstage by Tinga Stewart, and they blazed the venue with songs such as Gal Gimme Piece, Cover Me and ‘Under Your Love’.

Fast-rising dancehall star Master Bling will be making his debut on a Reggae Sumfest stage tonight. This young deejay is part of a new wave of Montego Bay artistes who are making a mark in dancehall. Master Bling has been getting a lot of positive airplay in recent weeks for his latest single, Gallis on the Cannon Ball riddim.

Dancehall star Tommy Lee Sparta appeared in court recently to answer breaches of the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transaction) (Special Provisions) Act, 2013. The case was set for mention at a later date.

The “Uncle Demon” deejay is currently out on a $400,000 bail and has maintained his innocence. Tommy Lee was arrested on February 3, 2014.
