Dancehall artiste Unknown Gringo is getting a huge buzz with his latest single, 'Vroom Vroom' , which was released on the Chase Mills Records label two weeks ago.

"This is the perfect Summer song, the ladies really love it and the single is playing in the dances from Montego Bay to the Corporate Area. Dexta Peppa ah play in inna Montego Bay, Boom Boom and Harry Hype ah play it at Uptown Mondays, Duane Pow ah play it, plus the song is on all the new mixtapes, big up to all the disc jockeys on IRIE FM, Suncity Radio and ZIP who are also giving me a big strength," the artiste whose real name is Frantz Morris, said.

Unknown Gringo also shot a music video for the song last week in his native parish of Trelawny. He will be releasing the video on his VEVO channel in the next two weeks. The single will be officially released via iTunes in July.

Earlier this year, the Unknown Gringo had released a socially responsible single called Put Down The Gun which was released on January 5 via his Desconocido Music label, and was available on iTunes and other platforms.

“I come from Flanker, which is known as a hostile area in Montego Bay. I have seen a lot of violence growing up, and I still have family in the community, so I want to be an agent of change.  I have experienced violence and never chose that way, and eventually I came out to be somebody because I now have a career in music; the gun is not the way,” he continued.

The deejay said he believes an individual is in control of his destiny and that negative environmental influences can be resisted.

“You choose your destiny, you choose your path. The community where you grew up cannot determine your fate as a person,” he said.

He says he will be pushing along to release a battery of new singles such as 'Brawling' and ‘Cute Cute’ for the Chase Mills Records label.
