Reggae artistes Sizzla, Kiprich, Zamunda, Jahvinci and  Iba Mahr will headline the Olympic Splash in Turtle Park in Ocho Rios, St. Ann on August 11th.
"We plan to give out school bags, pencils, and other back-to-school items for the children, plus there will be a mini-show for the kids with Magician, Hilarious Granny and Lastic Man during the day. If you pay as an adult come in, you can also stay for the stage show that will kick off at about 10 p.m.," Greg McFarlane, marketing director of the 'Olympic Splash' event, said.
The event, which has been dubbed 'Olympic Splash' will also recognise and celebrate the contribution of Jamaica's athletes who have done us proud on the world stage during the Olympic Games 2012 in London, England.
"This event will show an appreciation for the athletes whose feats on the track have put Jamaica on the world map in a huge way. We are urging everybody to come out and wear their Jamaican colours and their rasta colours, and come out and support the culture," he said.
Sizzla has been going through a resurgence recently, and he will be going all out to entertain his fans in St. Ann. Other strong acts include Jahvinci who is known for hits such as Rich, Watch Yu Friends and Mama Love while perennial stage show performer 'Kiprich's latest hits, Facebook and the lover's rock anthem, See It Clear, will make him a big draw as well.
