Dancehall star Lisa Hyper was fined 27,000 when she appeared before Resident Magistrate Simone Wolfe-Reece in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court in St Andrew, last week.

The 26 year old former Portmore Empire standout, whose given name is Felicia Gooden, pleaded guilty with explanation to disorderly conduct and common assault following an altercation with Anna Kay Hamilton on June 2. Hamilton also pleaded guilty.

Both had been charged for assaulting each other in Stony Hill square, St Andrew.

Lisa Hyper told the judge that her father had had a nervous breakdown, and that she has a number of personal problems, and had been provoked mercilessly by Hamilton's friends.

"My father had a mental breakdown, and I had a nervous breakdown. I was provoked to wrath," she said.

However, the judge upbraided her on her scandalous behaviour.

They were slapped with the disorderly charge due to their rowdy behaviour and the use of expletives at the police station following their arrest. Both women were also involved in a spitting war.
