Jay Z embodies so much of what makes New York New York. A kid from a tough neighborhood who grows up in public housing, overcomes lots of bad influences on the street, never lets go of his dream, makes it to the top — and then keeps going, pursuing new outlets for his creativity and ambition. When no one would sign him to a record contract, he created his own label and built a music empire — before going on to design clothing lines, open sports bars and, most recently, represent professional athletes.

International recording artiste Anthony B is seeking two young female singers to sign to his new label, Born Fyah-Master One Productions.

“I am seeking to find the next Marcia Griffiths, the next Cecile, there is a void out there for credible female reggae artistes with international appeal. I want to be the one to find the next female who is going to wow the world and redefine reggae music going forward,” Anthony B said in a release.

He appeared on Ron Muschette’s show on IRIE FM this morning.

Buoyed by the success of his latest number one hit single, ‘Hot Like a Fya’ , Waspp is preparing to amp up the promotion with a stateside promotional tour.
