Beenie Man still King of Dancehall but maybe he needs a new set


Beenie Man perhaps needs to think about revamping his entire set for future stage shows. Most dancehall pundits felt that he looked tired and exhausted during his set, just a shadow of the electrifying 150 minute performance that he gave at Usain Bolt’s Tracks and Records last week, but no matter what, he is still King of the Dancehall. He got roars of approval for a battery of hit songs, and commanded the audience at times during the set but he was unable to sustain that energy throughout.

SPICE’S BUBBLE DRESS WAS A HIT BUT SHE FELL AT THE START OF HER SET

Spice usually delivers the goods at the big shows, and she came prepared with a bubble dress, an Addi lookalike and her usual stage show antics. However, an untimely spill in 13 inch heels probably undid her, and she never fully recovered. She regained some of the crowd with the Addi lookalike stunt but overall, she failed to put a mark on her show and she was later eclipsed by an unapologetic and unrepentant Lady Saw.

“The fire started in my sister’s room at about 8 p.m. She wasn’t home but my mother was home at the time and she could only save a few things, bwoy it tragic but at least there was no loss of life,” Wasp said.
