A Jamaican male, 20 year-old Jordan Cilburn was allegedly  stabbed and killed by a young woman in the Gregory Park area of St Catherine - in the use of a clothes line.

The police's communication arm, the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), confirmed the report but did not disclose details of what provoked the dispute that led to the stabbing.

However, residents of the area claim that Cilburn was killed over the use of a clothes line in a yard. Cilburn was reportedly  in the process of washing his clothes when a dispute started with the womn and her male friend -- who both live in the same yard -- over the use of the clothes line. It was during this dispute that the woman pulled a knife and stabbed the man who was washing his clothes.

The man who was stabbed was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The woman is now in police custody.
