Dancehall artiste Konshens has had a tough couple of years. The death of his brother now throws into sharp relief the fact that there have been rumblings of unrest in his Subkonshus label over the past two years.

Word is that Konshens is distraught over the death of his older brother, Delus, in an apparent suicide. However, he plans to perform at a concert planned in Seychelles on June 28th.

Dancehall artiste Delus committed suicide by shooting himself in the head this afternoon. He lived in a house across from the Big Ship studios on East Riverside Drive, St. Andrew. 

Comedian Shebada may be stranded in the US for a little while after his travel documents were stolen from his hotel room of comedic actor in Florida yesterday.

Orithia 'Missy' Bailey, the only daughter of the popular dancehall selector Richie Feelings, was involved in a car accident on Marcus Garvey Drive on Thursday, which has left one person dead.

Jamaica’s Novlene Williams-Mills eased to 52.29 seconds to win the women’s 400m at a rainy Stockholm Grand Prix Diamond League meet in Sweden. Williams won ahead of Anyika Onuora of Great Britain in 52.46 second with fast starting Italian Libania Grenoty third in 52.62 seconds.
