Another soldier killed in May Pen

The country’s crime situation is spiralling out of control.

The Jamaica Defence Force is mourning the death of a second soldier in less than a month in May Pen, Clarendon.

Pte LINDSAY, P of C Coy, 3 JR (NR) was shot at the end of his birthday party celebrations at approximately 0310hrs on Sunday morning by a lone gunman. He was shot 8 times from the torso down to the knees. He was pronounced dead at May Pen Hospital at 0544hrs by Dr Marcus MCFARLANE. Det Cpl D BROWN is the Investigating Officer from May Pen CIB.

His licensed firearm was removed from his body by the gunman after the shooting. His body was turned over to Witter & Sons Funeral Home, Clarendon. They are awaiting the opportunity to check for his JDF ID card for retrieval.
