Human rights activists are expected to descend on the funeral for 31 year-old construction worker Mario Deane, whose death has become a flashpoint in the human rights movement. Beaten to death while in police custody, the young man’s name has become a rallying cry against police excesses. He will be buried on Sunday, September 21.
