New York Police say a Jamaican youth working two jobs in hopes of attending college and playing basketball was shot and killed on Monday, Memorial Day, while sitting on his front step in Queens.

Dancehall artiste Benji Hype, who is known for the ‘Google Bad Mind’ single, was robbed at gunpoint by two men after exiting a dancehall party held during the Memorial Day weekend. He was reportedly robbed of US$2000 cash as well as two expensive gold chains worth over US$10,000. He reported the matter to the New York police who are investigating.
