During next year’s Reggae Month, some of the bands who will emerge from the Rototom Reggae Contest Europe, will perform
in two days of free concerts at Emancipation Park, New Kingston as the Rototom Reggae Festival expands its brand worldwide.

The Rototom Reggae Contest Europe has attracted over 1,700 artistes and musicians from 29 countries. The finals will be held in Zurigo, Switzerland.

Macka Diamond’s management team has issued a release saying that the Dye Dye star will not be performing on the Kirkvine Seafood Festival.

The Kirkvine Seafood Festival is advertising Macka for the show on July 28 in Manchester, but we have not confirmed that show by way of them making a deposit, I want to clear this up, as she’s set to perform at Manchester Fiesta on July 31 – 3 days later at the same venue,” a representative for Macka Diamond said.

Unless the prosecution can ‘magically’ present the main witnesses in the trial regarding the murder of Barrington Burton, then Kartel and his co-accused will walk free. Justice Sykes handed down his ruling that he did not believe the prosecution had exhausted all avenues to locate the witnesses.

Or maybe the cops simply don’t want the witness to turn up and recant his statement and further embarrass the investigating officers.
The 12-member jury is to return to the Home Circuit Court tomorrow.

At that time, the prosecution is expected to offer no further evidence and the judge will then direct the jury to return a formal verdict of not guilty.
