Gaza fans will be disappointed to learn that there is no possibility that Vybz Kartel will be granted bail before May 8th as he was remanded today when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrates' court to answer charges of perverting the course of justice. The prosecution has based its case on the premise that Kartel's co-accused, Andrew 'Pim Pim' Henry contracted Vanessa 'Gaza Slim' Saddler to make a report to the police that she had been robbed by Clive 'Lizard' Williams. The prosecution is contending that Williams had in fact been murdered before the date of the alleged robbery and the prosecution believes that the report was made in order to give the impression that Williams was not dead. Williams was allegedly beaten to death at a premises in Havendale, St Andrew in August 16 last year over the disappearance of two firearms. The crown is also contending that Vybz Kartel participated in the beating. |
