VEGAS EXPLAINS ZIMBABWE PERFORMANCE PDF Print E-mail
Written by contributed

ImageThe outspoken Mr. Vegas has issued a statement regarding his recent performance in Zimbabwe.

I have been trying to ignore the negative feedback from the media about my performance in Zimbabwe
but I am now compelled to make a statement after I leant that the few media houses have  reported

incorrectly on this event.

I am my biggest critic and will be the first to tell you if it was "a good show", "a great show", or "an ok show"

in this case, Zimbabwe got a good show.

There are elements that I could use to make excuses on why it was not a "great show" but its my duty to give 100 percent in any condition

and that is what I did, I gave 100 percent.

I performed for 2 hours singing all my dancehall hits, accompanied by reggae songs  "Sweet Jamaica, Muss come a rd, A little love and two unreleased songs from my upcoming album.

Mr Vegas has always tried to bring some amount of Versatility to a show and will never be afraid to pay respect to the greats, but if in this case  the fans of Zimbabwe

are disappointed because I did a few reggae tracks & My Dj Fatta Diamond (played) three Bob Marley songs, I must apologize but we thought songs like "Zimbabwe" would have went down well, knowing the struggles of our brothers in Africa.

My issue is not with anyone reporting negative feed back on my shows, the concern I have is,

why when Mr Vegas gets great reviews from other countries, that is not reported in your papers? I am yet to see a story in your paper

on the report from Poland Ostrado Reggae Festival, where they hailed Mr Vegas as the best performer for the whole festival by votes from the people.

I am yet to see any story in your paper on Mr Vegas at Upsalla  in Sweden  just this pass summer, Mighty Crown anniversary in Japan  and other shows that fans and overseas media gave great reviews on, all of which are on the internet to back the story up.

If negativity is what sells your paper or get you following online, then you are nothing but a gossip paper.

I will post the video of the show in Zimbabwe so people can decide for themselves and see how the lies from the media that have been trying to tear down

the reggae music. Jah bless, I am blessed.
