Chuck Fenda is relishing the opportunity to unleash the Living Fire at this year's Rototom Reggae Sunsplash which traditionally attracts over 100,000 reggae aficionados.

"The whole country ah go march to come see me because they don't get to see me that often in Europe, but I really love Europe and it's always a tremendous experience whenever I go to that part of the world, the love is overwhelming," he said.

Fenda who re-christened himself the Living Fire a few years ago, is known for the mega hits, the controversial Gash Dem And Light Dem which was banned by some radio stations for inciting violence, and the solid reggae classic Coming Over Tonight featuring Cherine Anderson. Other popular songs voiced by Fenda include his original breakout hit, I Swear, as well as
Poor People Cry from his critically acclaimed Better Days album.

In its 17th year, the Rototom Sunsplash was forced to move from its long-time home in Italy to a new country, Spain.

Chuck Fenda is one of several performers confirmed for the August 21-28 staging of Rototom Sunsplash at Benicassim, along with Albarosie, Big Youth, Glen Washington, Anthony B, Aswad and Alpha Blondie, in addition to a number of Italian bands.
