Danger Zone Music Group, a label which is known for breaking major acts, has inked a recording deal with a new dancehall group, 1Squad, and their new single, 'Popin Ova Here' is blowing up all over FM radio.  

DZMG/ Star Struck Records has also released its new mixtape featuring the 1Squad, and a high-energy video for the single was released in the first week of March.

 

"1Squad is booked by to DZMG. The feedback has been great so far, it drop several times on ZIP, Suncity Radio, and RJR94, all the top selectors are a playing it, Danger Zone on the ground, is an industry that is investing time and energy in the music business," dancehall artiste Esco, who is a partner of Starstruck Records, said.  

 

Esco, who is one of DZMG main acts, leads out the 1Squad which is a high-powered combination of five multi-talented artistes, each with their own unique style – V8nam, Popin, Talis and Sultan.

 

"These young artistes have their own styles, they have their own swagger, their own flow and unique style of dressing that resonates with a younger demographic of dancehall fans. We are going to put Starstruck Records on the map with our new mixtape," Esco said. 

 

 

 

Danger Zone Music Group (DZMG) is spearheaded by Delmar 'Della Danger' Drummond, Edward ‘Nine’ Warren and Feonia ‘Fuel’ Williams. DZMG manage and book Esco and Mexican dancehall artist Fabio.

 

In their heyday, DZMG worked with several legends in the music fraternity, namely Beenie Man, Buju Banton, Capleton, and worked with international producers and artistes such as Timbaland, Busta Rhymes and Sean 'P Diddy' Coombs. The label has also scored hits with several dancehall and reggae riddims locally and internationally.

 

"With the Danger Zone Sound System as its nucleus, DZMG has, for several years, maintained a presence in the local and international music market, churning out high-quality music.Now, we're going to be stepping up things," Feonia Williams, one of principals of the DZMG, said.
