Montego Bay-based dancehall artiste Rickey Teetz feels confident his popular single, 'Poverty Life', that depicts the harsh, sometimes cruel conditions of the ghetto, will become an islandwide hit.

"It was hard, growing up with my mother, three brothers and three sisters. From the age of seven, I have been hustling in the streets, whether it was selling in the market, or buying goods to sell back somewhere. I was always hustling so this song is somewhat autobiographical, and the scenes from the video reflect my struggle and that of others in similar situations," he said. This week, he released the video for his well-known 'Poverty Life' single which is already a cult anthem in the streets of western Jamaica.
