Reggae star Pressure Buss Pipe is pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response to his Billboard-charting album, Red Rose. The album is chock full of love songs and lover's rock singles, a departure from the roots sound of his earlier efforts.

"I had been getting a lot of requests from females for more love songs like Love and Affection, and I thought about it and with the driving influence of my manager, Sean, I just did it and the results have been great so far," he told the Jamaica Observer.

The 'Red Rose', was released November 2 by Jalpo Records/Busspipe Records, which debuted at #8 in November 2016 on the Billboard Reggae album charts.

The 12-track set contains singles such as 'Time is The Master', 'Once Again', 'Lost Without You', 'Woman of The Nile', and 'Moments'.

"The feedback has been incredible, fans are already saying that they want a part two to Red Rose and they want more love songs like those on this album," Pressure said.

In 2007, Pressure Buss Pipe scored a massive hit with the single 'Love and Affection'. Pressure is currently the cultural ambassador for the USVI and recently renewed his contract with the USVI Tourist board in his role to promote the tourism product of the country which has a population of over 100,000.

The U.S. Virgin Islands consist of the main islands of Saint Croix, Saint John, and Saint Thomas, and many other surrounding minor islands.

The Rastafarian singer, whose given name is Delyno Brown, is a huge star in his country, and he recently inked a major endorsement deal with a large USVI cable company, Innovative Cable, to promote their high speed Internet products. He is also dabbling in artiste management as he has signed new artistes to his indie label Busspipe Records:  "Revelation" and "Pedico".

"They are very talented and we will be actively pushing their music," he said.

Currently in Jamaica on a promotional tour, the entertainer is pushing an inspirational roots single - not from his album - 'A Lion is a Lion'. Pressure said that although the track has gained traction in his home country since its release last year, he is working towards breaking barriers in Jamaica.

“I am hoping to be in Jamaica a lot more this year in order to promote this song as well as others. The video for 'A Lion is a Lion' was shot in Ethiopia and reggae fans are going to love the look and feel of this video,” he said.

The artiste released his debut album 'The Pressure is On' in 2005. The album was produced by Dean Pond, who also produced Love and Affection. However, the track was later remixed by Don Corleone.

His third album 'Coming Back for You' was released in 2009. This was followed by 'Africa Redemption' (2012) and 'The Sound' (2014).

"The Sound is presently my most commercially successful album, and it peaked in the top five of the Billboard Reggae album chart, but Red Rose is really doing well, it is too early to make an assumption as to if it will be my most successful album but it is off to a good start," he said.

Pressure is also booked for the Welcome To Jamrock Cruise 2017, and there are plans to shoot a video for 'Once Again' , one of the lead singles on his Red Rose album.
