The Warlord was denied bail when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's court this morning. He appeared before RM Judith Pusey.

Bounty Killer, whose real name is Rodney Pryce, was charged with unlawful wounding over the weekend after a female complainant alleged that Bounty beat her with a hammer causing her to receive 19 stitches. The police confirmed that there were bruises all over her body consistent with a physical assault. This is just the latest in a string of domestic abuse cases involving the deejay who is best known for hit singles such as Fed Up, Worthless Bwoy and the current number one hit, This is How We Do It.

Pryce is also facing charges of illegal possession of a firearm and unlawful wounding after an altercation with an off-duty cop in New Kingston in 2007.

The artist was refused bail by Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey on the grounds that he committed the new offenses while out on bail. He will return to court on September 27.
