Reports reaching one876news are that a woman known as 'Afia', a resident of Hundred Lane off Red Hills Road, St. Andrew, was gunned down this evening.

She is the common-law wife and 'baby-mother' of a well-known area figure Rohan Nelson.

Nelson was the one of the men who had been freed on murder charges in connection with the killing of  seven persons on Hundred Lane off Red Hills Road, St. Andrew, in 2001. Nelson had been charged in 2006 with the murder of Isolyn Vaughn and her common law husband Milton Gray. Seven persons, including two children, were killed in the attack on the community. During that attack, several homes were also shot up.

Nelson is reportedly being detained on a gun charge, but is expected to be released soon.
