Rumours that dancehall artiste Kantana has severed ties with Beenie Man's independent label, MD Entertainment, have gained momentum in the wake of the release of a new mixtape called 'Touch The Road'. The mixtape which features 14 songs that Kantana wrote and produced himself, is a masterful effort from the young deejay who has been a member of Beenie Man's camp since 2010.

He is known for songs such as 'Dangerous', a collaboration with Beenie Man, 'Head a Bunx' and 'Smoke and Drink'. However, his latest single, 'Touch the Road' is already a big hit with dancehall insiders such as disc jockeys, mixtape selectors and street promoters. The deejay has not been making public appearances with Beenie Man in almost a year, having taken time off to work on an EP, but made a cameo with the Doctor at the recent GT Taylor Xtravaganza show in St. Elizabeth where he got a good forward for the song, 'People'.
