Rastafarian firebrand Sizzla had to cancel his planned performance at this year's Chiemsee Reggae Summer in Germany after a vocal and aggressive gay lobby objected to his performance at the event.

For weeks, pro-gay groups and left-leaning politicians had pressured the organisers to nix Sizzla from the concert.Organisers opted to cancel the tour because of "safety reasons" as they could not guarantee the safety for festival-goers.
 

"Groups from the radical left spectrum jeopardize the application of several demonstrations in the immediate vicinity of the festival site, the security of the event," said the organizer in a release on his homepage.
