Reggae artiste Krystal Webb, also known as Krysiwebb, has made her name as a great live backing vocalist for reggae superstar Keith "Anthony B" Blair. Last year,  she accompanied “Anthony B' on her first European Tour covering major Reggae Festivals throughout Europe including Reggae Jam (Germany) and Kwaku (Holland).

But this year, she is stepping from the shadows into the spotlight. She recently released a collaboration "Do It Again" in March 2018 on the Nijeri Records with dancehall artiste Kool Johnny Kool and she is currently working on her debut album.

"I believe it's my time now , I want to pursue my dream of being a solo artiste, I have to sacrifice my time, my ability to earn to go for something greater, but I have a team so I am looking forward to it," she said.

She is collaborating with Robert Sutherland, chief executive officer of Nijeri Records, who will produce and release her debut album next year. There are plans to shoot a video for 'Do It Again' next month.

"The response to 'Do It Again 'has been great, people have been sharing it via SoundCloud and Facebook, and deejays have been requesting jingles. I know it is playing on IRIE FM locally and on RTR FM in Perth, Australia, by DJ Genereal Justice. it is being played by DJ Crystal in Germany, so it is getting international radio play," she said.

Krysi Webb will be going on the road in the continents of Africa and Europe, her first tour as a solo artiste. The tour is being organised by Werdsound Entertainment which is based in Europe.

"I am genuinely excited to do my own thing," she said.

Born 1993 in the beautiful garden parish of St Ann, Jamaica. Krysi’s powerful talent was unearthed very early on as she sang at community events and on her local church choir.  While at Papine High Krysi gained valuable experience participating in the high school competition "All Together Sing" and JCDC's Festival Song Competition in 2007 where she placed second in the latter.

In 2008 she recorded her first single "No Tears" for Kingston based record label O.D. Records after which she started doing background vocals for various artistes further honing her skills.

After high school, Webb contemplated Edna Manley School of Music but her passion for singing led her to continue backing vocals while working as a tour guide at a plant in her now western St. Andrew community in the Blue Mountains.

She continued to hone her talent as a writer and singer while still doing background vocals for major artistes such as Aidonia, Jahvinci, Etana and Luciano.

In 2016, she recorded two singles "Easy Loving You" and 'Crying Out" for acclaimed bassist Danny "Axeman" Thompson for VP Records, then she landed a job touring with Anthony B as a live backup singer.
