The body of an unidentified female was found in an igloo on the Winston Jones Highway in Manchester early yesterday morning.  


Reports from the Manchester Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) is that at about 1:30 a.m. the Mandeville mobile police were patrolling the area when they saw a grey Toyota Starlet parked on the roadside with two of the doors open.


Upon inspection, a woman's body was seen in a cooler on the back seat of the car with her throat slashed.


The scene was processed and her body removed to the morgue for post-mortem.


The woman is said to be of brown complexion and medium built. She is 5 foot 6 inches or 168 centimetres. She is said to be in her late 20s and has natural hair.


The police are asking persons for help in identifying the body. They advise persons to call the CIB office at 876-962-2832, 119 or Crime Stop at 311 or 811, if they can help with identification.
