  A relationship between a Worldnet employee and her spouse turned took an ugly turn that resulted in her being constantly been beaten, and thrown in a canal. Eventually, the two appeared in the St. Catherine Parish court recently to deal with abuse charges.

 

The female, who stated that on June 27, 2016, while at Dunbeholden in St. Catherine, an argument developed between herself and spouse Rusheime Harvey.

During this altercation, she allegedly received several blows from Harvey, who even threw her at one point in the canal nearby.

It was also outlined that she was choked and almost fell unconscious.

When Harvey appeared in the St. Catherine Parish court, he pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm.

When enquired by acting senior parish judge Mrs. Grace Henry-McKenzie if he had any previous violations.

"No, your honour, only traffic tickets," Harvey said matter-of-factly.

His fingerprints, along with records and social enquiry report were then ordered for sentencing on February 10, 2017.
