Three teens were charged with the death of Menelik McClymont over the weekend. Charged are: Jerome Coombs, 18, of Bob Marley Boulevard in Cooreville Gardens, Kingston 20; Camanie Shaw, 18; and Nashlyn Anderson, 18, both of Ambrook Lane, Kingston 10.

They are scheduled to appear in the Half-Way-Tree Resident Magistrate’s Court in St Andrew, on Friday.

After his son died, Luciano appealed in a video post on social media that anyone who had information should report the matter to the police.

According to information from the Corporate Communications Network (CCN), McClymont was stabbed several times on Saturday, February 27, around 2:30 pm in the vicinity of Parkington Plaza on Half-Way-Tree Road, St Andrew.

He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

Luciano (given name Jephter McClymont) is known for his spiritual reggae hits including Lord Give Me Strength, It’s Me Again Jah and Sweep Over My Soul. The 51-year-old was recently nominated for Best Reggae Album for his set Zion Awake.
