Tears flowed in the Circuit Court at Spanish Town when taxi operator and pastor Peter Wellessley was remanded until July 28, 2015.

The pastor is being charged with bigamy for marrying three wives without any divorce and all wives are still alive.

Wellessley, who was represented by attorney Lindel Wellessley, appeared in the Spanish Town RM Court and with his file complete, it was then transferred to the Circuit Court.

When the judge remanded him, he wept openly in court.

The complainant, Janice Wellessley, wife number two has been married for over 15 years and she shares one child with the accused. She found out in the later years that there was wife number one and three.

"Peter a wicked and is him cause it on himself. I would beg the judge to lighten his sentence because of all his children," Janice said.

The polygamist has shown no signs of slowing down however as investigations also revealed that Peter is also engaged to two other women.
