Will Friday the 13th be lucky for an accused man, Nelson Quarry, who is charged with impersonating an attorney at law? He is expected to know his fate today, Friday, November 13, 2015 when he appears in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrates' court.
Allegations are that Quarry was acting as a lawyer for several years and collected millions of dollars from unsuspected persons tp represent them in criminal and other matters.
The self proclaimed lawyer was sentenced for fraud after he made restitution to one of the complainant in the sum of $200,000.
The accused man collected cash from one of the complainants to regularise the status of a property.
It was also revealed that his fraudulent life came out in 2013 after being observed by a senior lawyer who enquired where he studied law.
Checks were carried out and it was then revealed that Quarry never trained nor enrolled at Norman Manley Law school as he had proclaimed.

He is expected to be sentenced today.
