The artiste, who is also a Co-founder and Owner of the Rokwon Music Group, along with Damion "Mattic" Hill, is confident about the impact and legacy he will make in reggae music. Born and raised in Cassia Park, St Andrew, G'ovany attended to St. Judes Primary and then Calabar High school after which he went straight into the working field as an aspiring Chartered Accountant. However music remained his true and deepest love, and in the year 2005, he recorded a song titled "The Message" for producer Gibby Morrison, then with the "High Voltage" label, he took the decision to make a serious transition to music full time. Since that time, G'ovany has been touring with superstar reggae artistes Fantan Mojah, Coco Tea and Luciano. "Those tours gave me the strength and knowledge of the industry from a performance and a business level. I've learnt that it's all about good music, structure and serious business strategy that's going to keep me viable in the game," he said.
