The winner of The Voice is chosen through a complex process that could work against crowd favourite and clear frontrunner, Tessanne Chin. Even after she blew away her competitors with four impeccable performances, even her risky take of Whitney Houston's I Have Nothing was damn near flawless when compared to the yell-singing of Jacqui Lee on Back to Black and the Jennifer Holiday classic, 'And I Am Telling You'. But could she still lose based on the emphasis on iTunes sales?

In addition to the overnight audience vote – via phone, online and text – all iTunes sales during the six weeks of live performances are taken into consideration. If any of those performances ended up in the top 10 on the iTunes singles chart, they will earn the artist an extra bonus, multiplying the iTunes votes for that song by five.
That makes it harder to predict a winner. Will Champlin had two top 10 songs on the iTunes charts during the live performances. While Tessanne topped the iTunes charts last week, that was her only top 10 song, as was Jacquie’s sixth-place ranking.
