Cop shoots man who attempted to rob him @one876

Criminals have never being accused of being particularly bright. The Corporate Communications Unit (CCU)Communications Unit is reporting that a man was shot in the Nugent Street area in Spanish Town after attempting to rob a cop.  
According to the CCU, at about 6 p.m.,  the man attempted to rob a police officer at a barber shop on Nugent Street but the robbery was thwarted by the officer who challenged the robber and shot him.  A firearm as recovered. The robber was then transported to the Spanish Town hospital where is now receiving treatment.
Earlier in the day, a cordon and search operation in the Spanish Town area led to the seizure of a Tarrus 9 mm pistol and 12 live rounds at March Pen Road. No one was arrested in connection with the illegal weapon.
