High riding deejay Assassin will headline this year's Port Royal Seafood festival on Heroes Day, October 17th.

Gareth Campbell, the deejay's manager, believes that Assassin is perfectly poised to become the frontrunner in this year's DJ of the Year aspirations. He says that the public reaction to the JPS single on the Big Dog riddim has been "phenomenal", adding that the song is enjoying a lot of airplay and multiple spins in the street dances all over the island.

In the meantime, the deejay's JPS single is still bombing FM radio in Jamaica into submission as the public debate rages on regarding exorbitant electricity bills being experience by both private and commercial users. The deejay appeared on a special segment of 'Beyond the Headlines' where he discussed the issue with moderators. While there are no immediate plans to shoot a video, Campbell believes that one may be needed if the single keeps up its encouraging run. The single was #10 on the ER top ten dancehall charts.
