A complainant recalled waking up when she heard a crackling sound coming from the direction of her son's room. She had retired to bed around 10 p.m on April 14, 2015 only to awaken to the realisation that her sos room was on fire in Watson Grove, St. Catherine.

Two men who are accused of arson and robbery appeared in the Spanish Town RM Court recently and were both successful with their bail applications.

It was also outlined that on April 15, 2015, lawmen from Mobile Patrol were on duty in the Drewsland area and observed Romeo Hall and Kevroy Parry standing at a wooden shop and ran upon seeing the officers.

They were caught and 2 suitcases, a brown leather bag and black knapsack were searched and items of rice, flour, satellite receiver and 2 cellular phones among other items were seen.

When they were cautioned, Hall reportedly told the officers where other items were being hidden and took them to Portmore Main Road where a 42" LED television was found. The items were later identified as those that were stolen from the house in Watson Grove before the room was set ablaze.

Stacey-Ann Williams who represented Hall told RM Natalie Brooks that his client was innocent and was a barber who was given the items to keep for a friend.

Dwayne Reid also was successful in gaining bail for Parry. They were both granted bail in the sum of $250,000 with 1-2 sureties, ordered to surrender travel documents and a stop order placed at all ports of exits.

Hall will report to the Duhaney Park Police Station, while Parry will report to the Hunts Bay police station between the hours of 6 a.m and 6 p.m daily.
