Capleton teams up with I Atom for 'Ganja Call'

Reggae artiste I Atom is generating a huge buzz with her new collaboration single, 'Ganja Call', featuring dancehall star Capleton which stresses the medicinal qualities and the healing powers of the marijuana plant.  The song has been blowing up FM radio since its release on the Virtuous Voice Production label, on January 7th this year.

  Jamaican reggae star Jimmy Cliff will be embarking on his first major international tour in two years. The tour will start in March and end in October. 

Jamaican producer Xavier Hassard aka Lenkey 5 Star is beaming with pride as his experimentation with soca has been paying dividends as entertainer Aaron St Louis, 'Voice' won the 2018 Soca Monarch with his song Titled “Year for Love” on the Upendo riddim Produced by the young producer / Nine Mind Entertainment from Trinidad.     Reggae icon Bob Marley's only Grammy nomination came in 2002, more than two decades after his death for best Long Form Music Video. Though the main reason the music legend most likely did not win prior, was that a reggae category wasn't added until 1985. Over the years, there have been many debates about winners and talk about a Marley lock on the top award with Ziggy Marley notching no fewer than seven notches, Stephen Marley three nods, and Damian Marley three as well. This year's debate over Damian Marley's win over Chronixx's deserving bid got the team  thinking about other albums that were perhaps overlooked over the years.   

Popular Jamaican radio disc jockey DJ Linkage has said that he will continue to take care of the kids, aged nine and seven, who he found out are not his biological kids after a mandatory DNA test sanctioned by the US Embassy as part of its immigration visa process.

That is the major reason he chose to do an inspirational song called 'Go For It' on producer Anju Blaxx's new 'Zombie' riddim to buck the trend of trigger-pulling gun songs in dancehall.
